Oceania DX contest 2017 - coming soon!

This year’s contest takes place over the first two full weekends in October.

The SSB event runs for 24 hours from 

08:00 UTC on Saturday 7 October

The CW event runs for 24 hours from 08:00 UTC on Saturday 14 October

With less than a month remaining until the 2017 contest,

news about the VK9XI Christmas Island and
VK9CI Cocos Keeling Island activations
during this year’s event. 

UPDATES: T32AZ will also be QRV from the other Christmas Island
and KL7SB will be QRV from E51 in OCDX CW.

About Oceania DX contest (OCDX)

The historic Oceania DX contest has been running since the mid-1930s.   This annual competition promotes shortwave contacts between amateur radio stations in Oceania and DX (the rest of the world).

Despite poor conditions, just under 1,200 logs were received for the 2016 event.  Entries from Oceania increased by 17% over 2015, with participation across the region including 9M6, A35, DU, KH0, KH6, V85, VK, VK9, YB and ZL.
